Wolves -7.5. Usually after one of those catastrophe games, they snap back into shape quickly… and gotta imagine this will be a wipeout. 80/20 Wolves.
Sour grapes on the Ant “cleanup” timing and I don’t believe it couldn’t have been proactively managed. The main gripe is the league rules clearly put players in harms way as money incentive and that has just gotta change. The Wolves will be just fine without him for a bit.
One more thing: the Wolves will be fine. They have historically played well without Ant. The key will be not overdoing it with Melo in response, who has his own durability problems.
Do whatever you need to do to preserve his long term health. I have questions. Hopefully there are sensible explanations, but this doesn’t look good organizationally at first blush.
I remember getting yelled at on here for merely asking about Ants knee like 3 weeks ago, and crossing my fingers it wouldn’t be an issue. Feels like we knew about this. Weird. Org deserves benefit of the doubt though?
This is a genuine question but why wasn’t this addressed over the summer? Didn’t everyone know about this, or what?
Takeaway: the 2 minute report thing will come out and will show the wolves got away with various things as well. Tough loss but those happen and this was free throw related. Also: Rudy will hit a three this season and you’ll love it.

It’s nice to know what will happen when Ball and Edwards shoot like shit, and I guess it’s they’ll kick the opponents ass anyways. This is a phenomenal start. Even early scapegoat Lyles did alright! Let’s go. So much more enjoyable, results aside.
I live a thousand miles from the twin cities and went on a lunch jog just now. Ran by a house with some folks hooping in the driveway and they were audibly making from of the LaMelo non-travel. Good stuff.
Wolves -1.5. Typically each season features a Disney Stinker but we are there at a weird/early time and the vibes are good. Shooting won’t be as insane but I figure enough chaos and they’ll pull it off. 60/40 Wolves. Bonus prediction for shits: Joan will score 10+ on perfect FG%
Whenever a player shoots a shitload of threes, like Ant attempting 17 tonight, I always think of ‘ol Flip when he coached that Wiggins/LaVine squad way back when, and the entire team attempted 14 threes a game and maybe 40 20-footers. Dude was a real one.
