We had a great experience at #ice2024kyoto. Extra proud of our #reprolabnus students who presented their work confidently at such a large event. Loved talking science, reconnecting with old friends & making new ones. Insects for the win 🫶🏾@ice2024kyoto_jp – at Kyoto-fu, Japan

Following this, in the 2nd paper published in @WileyEcolEvol, we did a #tethering study to investigate the #predationintensity of these snails, identifying their #predators and their role in controlling the #Nerita #population on seawalls Read here 👇 doi.org/10.1002/ece3.11385

Unveiling our paper in Frontiers of Tropical Diseases @FrontInfectDis! We bridge the gap between #Nanopore #MinION and #Illumina sequencing for vector surveillance. The results of DNA metabarcoding #Mosquito 🦟bulk samples on both platforms is a remarkable 93% congruent!

New paper in @JAppliedEcology shows that including larval sampling & DNA barcodes reduces error cascades in mosquito vector surveillance. Plus it features the hard work of young student researchers! Paper 👉🏾 doi.org/10.1111/1365-2664.13… Blog👉🏾 science.nus.edu.sg/blog/2021…

Hey, I forgot to notice this, but 2020 marked the definite end of one bad thing. Greyhound racing has now illegal in Florida! Looks like good prospects for adoption for all of the dogs that were still racing, too ☺️
