Look at the margin in Mississippi. This race will come down to a literal handful of votes.
Don’t let anyone ever tell you your vote doesn’t count.
This also marks the first time multiple elected Black governors will serve simultaneously in U.S. history.
The five historic winners are:
Wes Moore — Maryland
Byron Donalds — Florida
Keisha Lance Bottoms — Georgia
David Crowley — Wisconsin
Aaron Ford — Nevada

Holly Madison says she shared Hugh Hefner’s bed with his other girlfriends twice a week at the Playboy Mansion. Each woman took a turn, roughly two minutes, while porn played on big screens and the others tried to look occupied. She says nobody wanted to be there. Everyone was waiting for it to end.
When she finally decided to leave, she says, Hefner left a will on her bed showing she could inherit $3 million if she stayed until his death.
“Did he really think he could buy me?”
Madison moved into the mansion in 2001, at 21. She stayed for seven years and became one of the faces of The Girls Next Door.
In the interview below, she describes the rules and routines behind that life.
There was a 9 p.m. curfew. Visits to family were restricted. She says Hefner encouraged her to quit her outside job because it made him jealous.
Instead, she received a $1,000 weekly allowance.
At clubs, she recalls him handing out Quaaludes. When she raised the risk of a girl overdosing, she says he told her he had “a whole team.”
Over time, she says, the house became increasingly isolating. Hefner played the girlfriends against each other, criticized her appearance and insulted her in front of other people.
She later described the environment as “cult-like.”
Madison had imagined a future with him. They tried IVF, but it didn't work. She began reconsidering whether she wanted to stay.
When she finally decided to leave, she says he showed her tabloid stories predicting her career would collapse without him.
Then, while packing, she found the will.
According to Madison, the $3 million inheritance depended on her still living at the mansion when he died. She believed he had deliberately left the document where she would see it to persuade her to stay.
She put it back and left in 2008.
Her memoir, Down the Rabbit Hole, followed in 2015. Hefner disputed her account, accusing her of rewriting their history.
Madison continued speaking publicly about her experience. She said she had once expected to stay with him forever, but eventually realized her mental health could no longer take it.
