We are aware of a reported post on Yik Yak. We are actively investigating it, but don’t believe there is a threat to campus safety. Our first priority is the safety of our campus community — we will communicate as more details become available.
South Limestone is currently shut down from Waller Ave to Virginia Ave for a traffic accident investigation. Motorists should use Virginia Ave as a detour around the road closure.
Lexington Police will have S Limestone from Waller Ave to Transcript shut down due to a serious accident. Commuters should use alternate routes of S. Broadway or Tates Creek and avoid the area. @ukpolice

“As has always been the case, that includes working in close collaboration with other agencies, including the Lexington Police Department. To suggest otherwise is false and misleading. We have one of the most highly trained departments in the state.” (2/3)

“The story that ran on @FoxNews this morning regarding the University of Kentucky and our relationship with the police department is inaccurate and unfounded. Our priority at UK is the safety and well-being of everyone.” (1/3)
