ALT A graphic reading: Dilan is safe, and our family is together again. As his parents and brother, we can't fully put into words what that means to us. We want to thank President Pines, Chief Mitchell, the University of Maryland Police Department and its detectives, Vice President for Student Affairs Patty Perillo and the university leadership. They brought in local, state, and federal agencies, searched with dogs, drones, and thermal cameras, and worked day and night until Dilan was found. We saw firsthand how far this university will go for one of its students.

He was last seen on camera on October 2, 2026, at approximately 2:30 a.m., at Terrapin Trail Garage, on the University of Maryland campus. Dilan is approximately 6’02” tall and weighs approximately 185 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black University of Maryland hooded sweatshirt, grey sweatpants, and white shoes.
