🌿 Knowledge, play, and care for Lake Sevan.
Every day, the European Union Pavilion in the COP17 Green Zone featured initiatives dedicated to biodiversity conservation and nature protection.
One of them was the EU for Sevan Biodiversity project, implemented by UNDP in Armenia. Visitors explored Lake Sevan’s biodiversity through an interactive map, shared ideas for its conservation, and tested their knowledge through the “From Wave to Wave” board game provided by Blejan NGO.

A land dispute divided two families in Dhisaq Shurufle, Galmudug, for 4 years. A mobile alternative-dispute resolution (ADR) clinic got them talking and listening. They shook hands.
Thanks to @EU_in_Somalia, @NLinSomalia & Somalia Joint Fund for funding #JJCP, which is providing much needed training to ADR mediators across Somalia.

🌊🌿 EU4Biodiversity in Sevan Project Officially Launched
As part of CBD COP17, the official launch of the EU-funded EU4Biodiversity in Sevan project took place.
The project is implemented through cooperation between the European Union, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and Armenia’s Ministry of Environment. It aims to support the restoration of Lake Sevan’s ecosystem, biodiversity conservation, improved environmental governance, and the development of sustainable financing mechanisms.
The initiative marks an important step toward realizing the Lake Sevan 2050 Vision, ensuring the long-term conservation of aquatic ecosystems, and advancing Armenia’s international environmental commitments.
