Effective border security depends on strong international partnerships, real-time information sharing, and a shared commitment to confronting evolving threats. In Romania, Chief Vasquez met with Romanian Border Police leadership to discuss modern border management, training, technology, and regional coordination. Romania is addressing shared border-security challenges from a different perspective. U.S. Border Patrol is stronger and more effective when we are in the room, learning from our partners and working together. @AmbasadaSUA #BorderSecurity #InternationalPartnership #USBP #StrongBorders

Strong international partnerships and timely information sharing are essential to identifying shared threats, disrupting criminal networks, and strengthening border security. In Bulgaria, Chief Vasquez met with border officials and visited Kapitan Andreevo, one of the world’s busiest land border crossings, to discuss border infrastructure, inspection capacity, and regional coordination. Our international partner is tackling shared challenges from a different perspective. Transnational criminal organizations think they can blend into our neighborhoods. Wrong. We are out in full force, enforcing immigration laws, imposing consequences on those who violate these laws, and standing firm to protect our communities. Recently, in Laredo, TX, multi-agency operations dismantled two human smuggling stash houses. Two human smugglers were arrested, and 11 illegal aliens were apprehended.
