Many Huskies are getting antsy for transition to adidas on July 1st. Here's a look back to @UW_Football's Nike uniforms. In 1996, Huskies began wearing Nike jerseys. The pants did not change & were still Russell. Was the last year w/o gold outlining. 1st year w/o sleeve stripes.

Sources: Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark is leaving the conference. Yormark made the decision to leave and is expected to accept a new role outside of college sports in the near future. He’ll be with the league at least through January of 2027.

This is just another thing that sucks about the Sonics saga being drug out. A lot of my favorite Sonics memories were from games on TNT. Was looking forward to new Sonics memories that included @TurnerSportsEJ, which would've helped bring things full circle.
It’s time. 🤟🤟🏾🤟🏻🤟🏽

Today, we lost a giant. There was no greater friend to Hawai‘i and the Polynesian people than the legendary Coach JUNE JONES. June was far more than a football coach. He was a visionary, a trailblazer, and a tireless champion for the people of Hawai‘i and Polynesia. His impact extended far beyond the football field, opening doors, changing lives, and inspiring generations of young Polynesian athletes to dream big. His generosity, loyalty, and unwavering aloha were unmatched. As a founding board member of the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame and one of the driving forces behind the creation of the adidas Polynesian Bowl, June played an instrumental role in celebrating Polynesian football excellence and creating opportunities for future generations. His legacy will live on forever, not only through his remarkable accomplishments, but in the countless lives he touched, the opportunities he created, and the love he had for the Polynesian people. Rest in aloha, Coach. You were truly one of a kind, and we will never forget you. 🤙🌴❤️

All of us at Marvel Studios are deeply saddened by the passing of Sir Patrick Stewart. Sir Patrick brought Professor Charles Xavier to life with extraordinary grace, intelligence, and humanity, defining the character for generations of fans, from "X-Men" to "Logan" to "Avengers: Doomsday." He was a singular talent, a generous collaborator, and a true gentleman. Our hearts go out to his wife Sunny, his children, his friends, and the countless fans around the world whose lives he touched with his art.

SIR PATRICK STEWART (1940-2026) Before everything else, Patrick was defined by being born and bred in Yorkshire, the proud county in the north of England which he loved to the end. You could hear it in his accented voice and in the stern honesty with which he told you what he thought and felt. Yorkshiremen have no truck with half-truths or avoidance of big issues. He wore his heart on his sleeve, which made him a man to rely on, to admire and in my case, love. We first met as ambitious young actors with the Royal Shakespeare Company half a century ago but we weren’t in the same productions. My first strong memory was a few years later, meeting him in the street in central London when he told me about an offer to take over a leading part in 'Star Trek'. “But Patrick think of your stage career in the UK. Do you really want to risk—getting lost in Hollywood for years and years?”. Well, he took the risk and thank goodness for us all that he did for not just his devoted Trekkies but film and theatre audiences, who marvelled at his using international celebrity to star in a string of cinema successes ('X-Men' of course) and in great classical plays by Shakespeare, Ibsen, Arthur Miller, Peter Shaffer, Pinter and Beckett at Stratford-upon-Avon, in London’s West End and on Broadway. America was his adopted home, where he met his adored Sunny who has cared for him through sickness and health, through thick and thin. But he never forsook his origins: and the proudest achievement of the most respected and beloved actor of his generation on either side of the Atlantic, was his appointment as Chancellor of Huddersfield University in Yorkshire. His farewell performance in 'Avengers: Doomsday' is yet to be seen. Ian McKellen 29 October 2026 Photo: University of Huddersfield

We lost one of the greats of stage and screen today. And, in my book, a tremendous friend and man. I learned so much from him. I will miss you, Patrick Stewart, all of my days. @mang0ld

We are saddened to learn of the death of British actor Patrick Stewart. Among his many star-making roles, Stewart led “Star Trek: The Next Generation” as Captain Jean-Luc Picard for seven seasons, frequently returning to the role in films and the 2020 tv series “Star Trek: Picard.” Stewart’s depiction of the iconic Starfleet caption illustrated the range of space science fiction as a device for adventure, imagination, and storytelling. 📸: Poster, "From One Generation . . . What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work. My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

October 29, 1979 In the Seahawks' first-ever primetime appearance, holder and starting quarterback Jim Zorn hits placekicker Efrén Herrera with this sweet fake field goal pass for a first down. Seattle would defeat the Falcons on Monday Night Football in Atlanta, 31-28. ABC's Frank Gifford hints before the play that some trickery might be brewing, then Howard Cosell erupts afterwards in praise of Seahawks head coach Jack Patera's creativity.
