Tomorrow, we welcome our new students to Seattle for Residency Weekend, centered on Risk. We have three days of programming bringing together theory and data, industry insights, hands-on problem solving, and classroom learning.
One highlight to Residency Weekend is that we donโt spend the entire time in a classroom. On Friday, we'll visit @REI Distribution Center to see a large-scale operation up close, get into the field, and talk with people who work in the industry. Let's go!
This yearโs Residency Weekend course centers on a topic that feels especially relevant: Risks. We'll hear about disruption, decision-making, and how orgs respond. We'll also explore how tools like generative AI, data analytics, and automation are shaping the future of the field.
Weโre excited to share that Arsalan Esmaili will teach SCTL 501: Introduction to Supply Chain Transportation & Logistics this fall. Arsalanโs thoughtful approach, curiosity, and commitment to students will make him a real asset to our teaching team.

Each September, we kick off with Residency Weekend here in Seattle (online for those unable to attend in person). Itโs busy, fun, and a great way to start building a tight-knit community before the quarter even gets rolling. Weโre excited to see this yearโs group come together!
The start of a new academic year is just around the corner, and weโre getting ready to welcome a new cohort of students to the Master of Supply Chain Transportation & Logistics program. Weโll be sharing more in the weeks ahead as the new quarter approaches.
Our most recent Applied AI in the Supply Chain webinar gives a practical demonstration of how generative AI can support data analysis, helping users explore data, work through complex problems, and build tools for decision-making. Recording is available: youtube.com/watch?v=Z93mXdbpโฆ
U.S. supply chains are in the spotlight as tariffs, shifting trade relationships, and sourcing disruptions continue to reshape global logistics. MSCTL Advisory Board member Mark Vitantonio shares learnings from decades of logistics leadership: chiefexecutive.net/supply-chโฆ

Congratulations!
For @SpecialOlympics Washington athletes, the cauldron lighting at Opening Ceremonies marks the start of the Games. When the previous cauldron became unsafe, more than 50 @Boeing came together to redesign a new one. Our board member Scott Mercer shares: heraldnet.com/2026/05/29/speโฆ
What does it take to move from managing day-to-day ops to leading strategic decisions? This video clip looks at how the MSCTL program is designed to prepare students for that shift:
