"The ideal UI is no UI".
While we're waiting for Neuralink and AI agents, let's strive to design products that reduce customers' need to spend time "using products" to get the benefits.
Diego gets it 👇
If you hear me talk about “making the product disappear”, this is what it looks like in practice.
One of my core beliefs in building @tryramp is that I don’t want people “using Ramp”. I want customers to do their thing while we handle everything in the background.
If everyone who shared how to pronounce their name in their Slack profile switched to a rhyme-based format, like "rhymes with [1+ dictionary words]", we'd collectively save 2.6 weeks each day (excluding weekends).
-Adam Ruf (rhymes w/"stuff") ✌️❤️
How are @Eventbrite and @Meetup still around? Using their software to GSD as an organizer is a huge PITA.
In the immortal words of anyone who's ever used shitty software, "Does anyone there actually use the product?" 🤔
Also, likely UXers there who are like "OMG, I know!"😓

Anyone know how to create a @figmadesign auto layout button with border AND focus ring?🤔
Latest attempt (spent too much time already) used 2 layers: Background and Focus Ring. Applying auto layout results in Focus Ring that doesn't adapt with auto resize.😩

@figmadesign Your hidden shortcuts are overriding my Mac OS shortcuts. Is there any way to get my personal shortcuts to work?
I set SHIFT+CMD+← to Align Left and Figma correctly shows this shortcut under my Arrange menu, but when I use the keyboard shortcut, Figma does this 😖
In case you're free and looking for something to do, I'm hopping on in a few minutes to demo creating a quick @UsabilityHub preference test and a @NotionHQ-powered case study for my visual design refresh of the @sfzoo homepage.
