NEW: Suspect in Miami Township homicide steals a Dayton cruiser and slams it through an occupied house Late Thursday, the unidentified Black male suspect stole a Dayton police cruiser and crashed it through a home on Greenway Street. Two residents were hospitalized. Police say it followed carjacking attempts on I-75 in Moraine. Officers PIT-stopped a stolen Toyota; he ran, circled back, jumped in an empty cruiser and took off. After the crash he bit an officer and tried to take a gun. Seven officers were hurt. The suspect was also hospitalized. Friday, a welfare check in Miami Township found a woman shot dead. Her car was gone. Investigators tied him to that killing.
