On the 22nd anniversary of 9/11 we remember the men, women, and children whose lives were cut short by a terrible act of evil. It was a day that changed our nation forever. In the aftermath of 9/11, President George W. Bush asked my father @BillyGraham to share a message of hope at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service in Washington, D.C. My father said, “…words simply cannot express the horror, the shock and the revulsion we all feel over what took place in this nation…Why does God allow evil like this to take place? Perhaps that is what you are asking. You may even be angry at God. I want to assure you that God understands these feelings that you may have…”
Watch his message in this video and take some time today to pray for our country and all of the families who lost loved ones on that day. #NeverForget

The first person in scripture to name God is Hagar.
A woman. Single mother. African slave.
She says “I have seen the one who sees me.”
God calls her by name. Abram and Sarai do not.
God has a way of exalting the vulnerable.

New - our position on how COVID relief efforts can keep vulnerable families stably housed. Expediting entry to permanent housing and investing in upstream prevention are some of the key ways NYC can prevent a surge in family #homelessness as it reopens.
