"That MF used to f*** me up. I would rather guard Michael Jordan than Drazen. That MF was something else."
@VernonMaxwell11 hilariously talks about guarding the Mozart of Basketball🤣

Johnny Collins looks for open space and attacks gaps. His next step at CSN is learning when to accelerate and when to let the possession develop. I’ve watched him three times. There are tools to build on.

Three players from CSN I believe are worth keeping an eye on this season: Jonathan “Johnny” Collins, Gerald Patterson and Ivoryon Cuffee.
Caught up with them after the exhibition game. It’s early, and there’s a long season ahead. I want to see how they build on their strengths and make the adjustments needed as the season progresses. I’ll continue watching all three.

BREAKING: Saliou Niang has been cleared to compete for the LSU Tigers, his representatives, Sead Galijasevic and Andrea Grossi, told DraftExpress.
Niang was cleared by the NCAA eligibility process and is now officially eligible to suit up for LSU under head coach Will Wade.
France’s Ayman Malibert, 18, is a 6’5” guard in Wasatch Academy’s 2027 class. His downhill attacks, developing midrange game and defensive flashes make him worth tracking. How those traits translate to the next level is the question we’re following. ⬇️

One player gets the rebound. Who helped create it?
That contribution deserves a place in the scouting report. Unit 1 Hoop Source examines the work college basketball’s rebound totals can miss.

The eligibility shit show continues as we are now 17 days from opening day of college basketball.
Complete joke all the way around.
Breaking: The Jefferson County Circuit Court has granted a temporary injunction, preventing the NCAA from barring the plaintiffs from competing in the 2026-27 season.
This restores temporary eligibility for Seth Trimble, LJ Wells, Jabari Mack, and Kalib Perry.

Ohio’s NCAA eligibility dispute reaches beyond who gets another season.
Basketball keeps finding new ways to profit from talent. What does it owe the players behind that business?

Todd Golden on eligibility chaos is worth your time ⬇️
"The NCAA has spent millions of dollars promoting the PCSA. But if that were to pass, the class of '22 athletes would be eligible."
"At this point, the NCAA is arguing that they're trying to prevent chaos, but they're really causing it."

Oklahoma finished No. 18 nationally in adjusted offensive efficiency and No. 99 defensively. The new roster must improve stops while replacing Nijel Pack’s 34.5% share of the team’s made threes.

Following up coverage of my weekend of the Mountain West:
Jake Hall scored 31 in UNM’s 99–89 exhibition win at Oklahoma State. Both teams scored 63 from the field; UNM’s 36–26 edge in made free throws supplied the margin.
The concern: a 27–12 deficit in second-chance points. Finishing defensive possessions matters.
