26.2 mi / 42.2 km conquered at the legendary Marine Corps Marathon.
For 10 years, United Help Ukraine has brought Ukraine’s wounded heroes to the Marine Corps Marathon — not just to cross the finish line, but to be part of a mission far greater than the race itself.
From the starting line to the finish, Team Ukraine brought courage, determination, and the unbreakable Ukrainian spirit to the 51st Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C.
They ran for their own healing, to amplify Ukraine’s voice, and to raise awareness of the vital role sports can play in the mental health rehabilitation and recovery of Ukraine’s defenders.
💛 Team Ukraine was impossible to miss. Amid more than 40,000 participants, our blue and yellow cheering points stood out, and hundreds of thousands of supporters witnessed their journey.
Every mile told a story of resilience, strength, and the power of moving forward — together.
💙 Thank you to everyone who cheered, supported, and helped make this experience possible. Your support makes a difference far beyond the finish line.

Every child deserves to experience the joy of the holidays. But for thousands of Ukrainian children affected by war, even the simplest moments of happiness can feel out of reach.

We still need 40% more toys to reach our goal! Help us close the gap and ensure these gifts are sent to Ukraine in November, in time for the holidays.

🇺🇦 On the way to the U.S., while leading a team of nine wounded Ukrainian warriors to the legendary 51st Marine Corps Marathon @Marine_Marathon, General Volodymyr Havrylov spoke with News4’s @TommyMcFLY of NBC Washington about how the marathon supports Ukrainian defenders’ mental recovery and the impactful partnership with United Help Ukraine.
For Ukraine’s wounded defenders, this journey is about more than running. It’s about rebuilding strength, restoring confidence, reconnecting with others, and finding healing through the challenge of completing the Marine Corps Marathon.

🚨 Putin is NOT a humanitarian.
Recent remarks by U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff describing Vladimir Putin as a humanitarian are deeply disturbing in the face of Russia’s continued attacks on Ukrainian civilians.
Let’s be clear, Putin is nothing more than a murderous dictator, not a humanitarian. Putin has the blood of at least 16,874 Ukrainian civilians on his hands, including 820 children, with 51,273 more injured since the full-scale invasion began, according to the UN.
Just this Monday, a Russian drone strike in the Kharkiv region killed 14-month-old Angelina in her stroller. Her mother, Inna, later died in the hospital.
The UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine reported that the first two weeks of October were among the deadliest for civilians in years, following the deadliest September of the full-scale war in which at least 328 Ukrainian civilians were killed and 2,105 were injured. Russia is not fine on Ukraine!
What’s happening is not just wrong, it’s outrageous! Ukraine’s future should not be decided as a bargaining chip between Washington and Moscow.
There is nothing humanitarian about killing innocent civilians. Their suffering cannot be ignored or minimized.
This is contrary to the feelings of the majority of Americans who oppose Ukraine caving to Russia. Additionally, the American people believe that even if a ceasefire were agreed to by Ukraine, Russia would not hold up its end of the deal.

In Ukraine, reliable transportation is more than a way to get from one place to another. During life-saving missions on the front lines and amid attacks, it can mean reaching someone in need faster, delivering essential supplies, protecting lives, and providing help when every minute counts.
The vehicle now supporting the 23rd Separate Reconnaissance Battalion is just one example of the impact of United Help Ukraine’s Transportation Project, through which we deliver and repair vehicles where lives can depend on seconds.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, United Help Ukraine has provided a Nissan X-Trail to the 23rd Separate Reconnaissance Battalion, helping its members carry out their daily missions.
But the true impact goes beyond the vehicle. It’s about the people who depend on timely assistance, the lives that can be protected, and the families waiting for their loved ones to return home.

‼️ Ukrainians feel betrayed. So do we.
⚠️ A DEAL THAT PUTS UKRAINIANS AT RISK
President Zelenskyy says he feels betrayed by the diesel deal President Trump made with Russia. Since its announcement on October 9, Russian attacks have killed more than 70 people across Ukraine and injured more than 375, according to Ukrainian regional authorities. Behind every number is a mother, a father, a child, a neighbour.
The deal breaks with nearly five years of sanctions on Russia for its full-scale invasion. It eases pressure on the energy revenues funding the war, just three weeks after the President signed the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026. Analysts say it is unlikely to lower U.S. diesel prices by more than a few cents a gallon. Ukraine is paying for it in lives.
Then came the “energy ceasefire” announced on October 11. Russia never publicly committed to it, and Ukrainian energy facilities were hit by ballistic missiles and drones that day and repeatedly since. Ukraine withheld fire from Russian energy infrastructure for three days while attacks on its people continued.
And now the tools that keep Ukrainians alive are being restricted and threatened.
🚨 THE HUMAN COST
On two nights this week, Russian ballistic missiles struck Kyiv without early warning from Ukraine’s partners, as the Trump administration threatens to cut off intelligence Ukraine relies on to detect missile launches.
Overnight on October 13–14, SpaceX restricted the speed of Starlink terminals in motion without warning Ukraine. Ukraine’s military relies on Starlink for battlefield communications when Russia destroys networks. It also connects interceptor drones that shoot down Russia’s jet-powered attack drones before they reach homes, hospitals, and power plants.
This morning, a Russian drone struck a residential courtyard in Kyiv’s Pecherskyi District. Seven people were injured.
🇺🇲 WHY THIS MATTERS
Siding with a dictator and murderer is not an American value. We believe in justice, freedom, and human rights. United Help Ukraine calls on all Americans to defend them.
Ukraine will keep showing up. We need you to do three things today:
📢 Call your representatives and urge them to reverse the diesel deal.
↗️ Share this post & help others understand what’s at stake.
💛 Support our humanitarian work by donating.
‼️ Even now, we can push back, and we will.
🚨 🚨🚨 Every deal has a human cost. As decisions on the purchase of Russian diesel fuel move forward, so do Russia’s devastating attacks on Ukrainian civilians.
Families are losing their loved ones. Homes, hospitals, and essential infrastructure continue to be destroyed. Across Ukraine, communities are living with the daily consequences of a war that has brought immeasurable suffering.
Revenue from Russian oil and petroleum exports contributes to the resources available to sustain Russia's war. The humanitarian consequences of decisions affecting these revenues cannot be overlooked.
As a U.S.-based humanitarian organization, United Help Ukraine remains committed to protecting lives, delivering critical assistance, and supporting communities affected by Russia's war.
Behind every policy decision are real people. Their lives must remain at the center of the conversation!

🚨 Evacuation vehicle delivered by UHU hit by a Russian drone while on a life-saving mission.
This Mazda BT-50, delivered by us in July, was on a mission to evacuate 2 wounded defenders from the front lines. The driver and combat medic were also injured as a result of the attack. We lost the vehicle, but we didn't lose 4 lives in the moment of the attack and saved dozens more since July.
‼️ Russia targets evacuation, humanitarian, and volunteer vehicles like this one provided by us, day and night.
This is just one example of the terror of this war. Thankfully, this time everyone in the vehicle survived, though they sustained additional trauma and injuries. This is why providing more vehicles is critical to protect people.
⚠️ WHILE WE DO EVERYTHING WE CAN TO SAVE LIVES, RUSSIA ATTACKS, DESTROYS, AND KILLS.
We need your support!
We have already provided 540+ vehicles and repaired 500+ life-saving vehicles. This is just one story where, fortunately, lives were saved. But not every case ends this way.
