Most people don’t realise there’s an art to stacking logs. It’s not an art judged by critics - no, nothing so crude. But simply, whether, by the end of winter, either of my children has been crushed by an avalanche of logs when sent to fetch fire wood.

I know it's not the most pressing of disasters in the world as it is today, but I've lost my wellies and it's really annoying.
I’m old now but I’m celebrating this for 8 year old me who had the young ones as heroes. And still does.
