Built a new tool to assist investigators determining which IDF unit committed a particular war crime in Gaza. Just enter a date and location, see which units were verified to be there. Link to tool in next tweet.

Replying to @InspiringPhilos
I’ve responded and unblocked you feel free to have a discussion with me. I’m willing to keep this one more cordial than our previous ones.
I’ll unblock you to give you a fair chance to respond. But Mike, why skip mins 30–34 in your review? I’m happy to walk back anything I got wrong. My claims were largely accurate and directed more toward Jay. Considering we haven’t copyright-struck you, I figured that was obvious.

This is a disgusting use of our video and I’m considering even copyright striking. Anyways here’s Nicolai Sinai signing a witness statement (lol) that Muhayman is more likely to mean authority.
🚨 NICOLAI SINAI IS MAD AT MUSLIM SCHOLARSHIP: STOP MISREPRESENTING WHAT I SAID! Muslim scholars and others @DrJavadHashmi | @KhalilAndani | @IraniRoxanna & Dawahghandist | @Deenresponds | @muslimorthodoxy| @korrathetaymi invoke Oxford scholar Nicolai Sinai to defend their claims about MUHAYMIN (Quran 5:48). Then we play SINAI HIMSELF. 💥 Credit: @InspiringPhilos , @SCApologia @JaiNDoC_RL 🔥 Stop borrowing a scholar's credentials while ignoring what he actually argues. WATCH THE VIDEO.

Spending hours going through the texts yourself or with a Shaykh would be a much better use of time and money until we have a better alternative.

I've been sent some other alternatives like Qaf, and its definitely better in terms of sources but can give very vague responses or simply wrong information it gets from specific passages from a text

For example is seems to have a difficult time distinguishing an author's position on a matter and when that author quotes another position he disagrees with, it seems to mix them up all the time which ca be difficult when your trying to learn something new on one aspect of fiqh.

Going to write this again but @Usul_AI has to be the worst Islamic focused AI I've used, I complained some time ago about how bad the sources are and how it creates it own material and hallucinates a lot of the stuff just to get an answer.

I've always said that this specific AI tool has a lot of bias and that comes down to the sources, a huge majority of it's sources come from specific Salafi or later sources that just obscures the original or Maddhab specific sources that would give a accurate representation.

This time however in many cases, the AI simply didn't give an answer at all or took 15 minutes just to give me a error message or a short and vague response!
