On a global scale, Uganda ranks 16th with the highest rates of child marriages. As a community, we must unite against this to give the girl child an opportunity to enjoy her childhood. #SRHRForAll

UNFPA has the mandate to end; the unmet need for family planning, preventable maternal deaths, gender-based violence, and HIV transmission. To achieve this, we require a collective effort where everyone fights to protect women, adolescents, and the youth.

2021 statistics by @UNFPAUganda reported 25% annual teenage pregnancies in Uganda due to limited access to SRHR information and services by sexually active adolescent girls. As @UpAccelerate, it is our mandate to ensure access to the right information to curb this vice.
