Without a doubt, the most competent candidate on the ballot for the next election in Lagos is Dr Obafemi Hamzat. He holds a PhD in Engineering from Cranfield University, one of the best research Universities in the UK 🇬🇧.
His experience in the public sector is also unmatched by other candidates.
I look forward to his manifesto tagged ‘The Lagos Promise’ / ‘Ileri Eko’ 💙.

Trying to talk down NELFUND initiative because of politics while you’re not a student is a devilish act.

See what you were doing on Twitter in Unilag with your cheap school fees. ASUU determined your life. You couldn’t even graduate in time because of strike
That guy now has a better university experience than you because of NELFUND. He’s not tweeting ASUU strike in uni like you.
This morning, I saw a video where a guy in UK said there are so many Nigerians who live and work in UK but are on government’s payroll in Nigeria as civil servants and they have been collecting salaries for years.
He landed it by saying that if all Nigerians are taken to UK and everyone in UK is taken to Nigeria, Nigerians will still japa from UK to Nigeria.
This is a serious integrity and institutional failure.
When you tell them to call out their state governors, they won’t. Maybe you’re waiting for Tinubu to come and give you a toll free number for fake products.
I can’t count how many times I’ve posted about how other states should establish an agency like @Lagosdsva to help fight domestic violence, yet there’s been no action.
Governors are the real problem in this country.

On Friday, 30th of October, I will present my manifesto for Lagos, outlining my vision and priorities for the years ahead.
My focus is to sustain our progress, address areas that need more attention and create opportunities for every Lagosian to thrive.
The future of Lagos must put people first and our plans must reflect their hopes, concerns and everyday realities.
From completing and connecting our rail lines, improving road and water transportation and expanding access to affordable housing, to strengthening security and upgrading healthcare across our 57 LGAs and LCDAs, we must keep making life better. Every community deserves safe roads, reliable public services and opportunities to prosper.
Education, skills development and job creation will remain central to our vision. We must equip young people with the knowledge, technology and practical skills to succeed, support entrepreneurs and small businesses and ensure that talent translates into opportunity, regardless of background, gender, religion or place of origin.
We must also protect our environment through better waste management, flood prevention, improved drainage and the protection of our coastal communities. We will continue to promote responsible governance, support traders and businesses and manage public resources to deliver real value.
Progress is not just about how far we have come but how many lives we improve along the way. Building on the foundation laid by successive administrations, we must protect what works, improve what needs attention and embrace ideas that meet Lagos’ changing needs.
My commitment is to a Lagos that is safer, more accessible, prosperous and inclusive. A Lagos where opportunity reaches every community and every resident has a stake in our shared future.
Together, we will build on our progress and move Lagos forward with purpose, accountability and the people at the centre of every decision.
That is my PROMISE.

Yorùbá already have a saying for someone like you.
A kìí mọ̀yá Ọ̀ṣọ́ jọ̀ṣọ́ lọ.
You already goofed when you said Yorùbás view people from Èkìtì and Òndò as not fully Yorùbá. There's nothing like that. You're Yoruba. That's all.
You were corrected and you came up with this? How can you know Yorùbá Land, more than a Yorùbá man who lives in Yorùbá Land, when the conversation started with you making wrong assertions about Yorùbá Land?
Pride mixed with ignorance does no good for/to anyone.
