Since the start of the 2025 season, @Vol_Football CB Ty Redmond leads the Power Four in pass breakups (21). After leading SEC last year as a Fr. All-American, he’s tied for 1st this year as a sophomore (9).

Here’s the way I look at coaching. I’d rather us take the risk to hire someone that we think can put us over the top than just stick with someone who is going to win 8-9 games a season. If you know you’ll only ever be slightly above average what’s the point?

This is the right take. George had 3 TDs taken from him. You can blame refs, his fellow players or some combo. You can't blame GMac. So if the team holds up its end as well as he did we're not talking about any (admittedly botched) 4Q play.
The TRUTH: George MacIntyre is never in a 4th and short or a late game sack situation if the team around him didn’t make critical errors repeatedly. He played the game of his life and will get unjustly blamed for an outcome he didn’t deserve.

GMac made some real elite, big time throws on tape. Battled.

When Bob Stoops was at OU they always had at least one head scratching loss every season. Like how TF did that happen? It’s in Big Hasbulla’s OU DNA.

I’m still LIVID the way Heupel threw George under the bus and took NO PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY !!!! Not a good look at all especially when he has gone out of his way to defend every other QB he’s had…. including the one that held you hostage right before spring ball 😡

Love him or hate him I think this is who Heupel is. I think schematically he’s an excellent coach. He will win some games that other coaches before him couldn’t dream of. And will drop at least 1 game a year to a bad team. Thats who he is.

Pretty much sums up @coachjoshheupel again, people need to realize he isn’t the one. Yes he is a decent coach but he isn’t going to do more than what he is doing now. He isn’t worth 9 million a year.
Josh Heupel • Averages 9 wins a year. • Inexplicable loss at least once a season. • Players have dumb, bad timed, undisciplined penalties. • Can’t manage the clock. Is what it is at this point. Could do worse. Could do better.

With 4 min left, South Carolina had a 3.7% chance to win. And now I have to think about this for the next two weeks.

I'm so sick and tired of hearing "we've got to play smarter". His teams are always one of the most penalized! WE KNOW THEY HAVE TO PLAY SMARTER SO MAKE THEM OR SIT THEM. Damn.
"There’s a lot of things that we’re in control of. Our guys compete hard. We got to play smarter." What Josh Heupel said after No. 11 Tennessee's 27-24 loss at South Carolina ⤵️ 🔗 on3.com/teams/tennessee-volu…
