Books, the gift that keeps on giving, every single month - unless you cheat, which, as you can see, I did. Reading, though...now that's a civil right. Be ware any movement to take away access to books and to limit your right to read.

The sister duo Tigirlily will perform on Sunday, May 6 at 6 pm at Horizon Middle School. The performance will raise funds for the BPS Students in Transition program which serves homeless children. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at bpsfoundation.com.

Bismarck Schools reminds drivers to be aware when school bus “stop arms” are extended. Children are or very soon will be on the street. Parents, remind your children to wait for the stop arm before crossing the street whether boarding the bus or crossing in front of the bus.

Many BPS elementary schools are piloting a USDA program, Sharing Table. Students can share school food they do not want to eat (unopened milk cartons, prepackaged items, etc.) with kids who are still hungry so food doesn’t go to waste. This will be in all K-5 schools fall 2018!
