They need to do it. I hope they will some day, but I'm losing faith anyone will have the courage to do the right thing. 馃槦

Great place to put the mountains. Right next to the store :-) 馃憤

A simple life. Dolls made of corn husks? :-) Fort Boonesborough. Established and defended by the infamous pioneer Daniel Boone. Boone famously led the settlement's defense during the Siege of Boonesborough in September 1778, successfully repelling an attack by Shawnee warriors led by Chief Blackfish. 2023 - Nikon Z8

The court system will be our undoing. We've already seen previews of it in the recent past. :-(

It reminds me of a stretch of road I drove along to get into Mount Rainier. 馃憤馃徎

I have a gingko, but it's still young / small...and the male deer ruined the branches a few years ago when it was rubbing its antlers in autumn...so the main trunk of the tree was ruined and I pruned it back to just about 2 feet tall. It's healthy now but I worry about the future and if the trunk will be weak because now it's multi-stem for the trunk instead of one strong central trunk, if you understand what I mean.

It's a leftist infection (different than 'liberals' - leftists are not traditional social liberals). Unfortunately this plague is spreading.

When I was in the army, there were people from all different backgrounds and skin colors and we all got along just fine. We all hung out together, worked together and race never came up as an issue. It seems to be only an issue in the civilian world where politicians create racism through policies or rhetoric to drive votes. We can all get along here too. Everyone just needs to be themselves and remember my golden rule: There are only two types of people in the world: Nice people and idiots. And of those two types, they come in all different religions, skin colors, etc. people enjoy hanging out with other nice people, but people don't enjoy hanging out with idiots. This is very obvious, but it's amazing more people don't understand this. Race doesn't matter. Whether or not someone is a nice person or an idiot is the only thing that matters. 馃榾 I think you're a nice person. 馃憤馃徎

This is it. It's custom, but it's not fancy. The reason it's custom is because I wanted a thinner belt to fit through the loops of certain pants I have and I wanted a very basic type of belt and a basic buckle. But it's durable/high quality.

I always miss the smokies. Been to/go to the Smokies often. Just got my custom belt from the old guy in Gatlinburg in the mail a few weeks ago. He's so backed up. It takes a few months to get a belt unless you buy something he already has on display.

I once saw an exhibit of costumes from movies based on the Jane Austen's novels (like Pride & Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, Mansfield Park and others). There were many costumes on display. While I'm not really interested in clothing, these were pretty cool, having been in the movies. 4 photos attached. Nikon Z7 II with Z 24-120mm f/4 lens.

I've actually thought about that before. Whether or not I'd want to know and how I could live knowing when. I'd only want to know if it was LONG into the future and it was dying of old age. If it were to come sooner than expected and a sudden end, like traffic accident, maybe I don't want to know. I think I'd be happier not knowing when.
