That’s a beautifully written way of saying … “we can’t say anything negative about our government or we’ll disappear”.

Is the interface dying?
Claude and ChatGPT plugins are the death of software. 1. Integrate your software into their interface 2. Get everyone used to using it in that way (because it’s a better experience). 3. Eventually cut you out of the equation. CapCut doesn’t need to exist 😂 It’s an interface for something that doesn’t need an interface anymore. Lambs to the slaughter. They are going to eat effectively all software this way. And APIs aren’t going to save everyone. APIs are just software that computers use.

The future is looking a lot like a few who can responsibly mentally employ the capabilities of AI, an increasingly behind luddite class, and a massive psychosis life-neutering chasm between them. Like the people who cannot master cocaine, and those who can.

Why not @MistralAI - that’s brutal.
JUST IN: Sweden's government bans ChatGPT & Claude from staff computers, making Microsoft Copilot its only approved AI tool.

Scary good and we’re into the film “Her” territory … worrying.
We believe voice is the most natural way to interact with intelligence, so we created Dessa, the most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built. Talking with it feels like talking with a person…full of emotion, nuance, pauses, and a natural cadence. block.xyz/dessa

This.
We’re about to learn that most code written over the last 20 years was complete slop and most software developers were never that good

The fact that Anthropic Mythos is still blocked in the UK and yet we’ve embraced Deepseek, Kimi and Qwen suggests we… Badly require our own, sovereign models on public release and fast.

Fun fact. GTA was developed in Edinburgh. Pesky Brits and Euros.
We really got flying cars before GTA 6

Not even compliant in most international markets. Cybertruck banned in: UK Europe Japan South Korea China South East Asia Australia This shape will also be banned. The Porsche Mission S is a far superior supercar.
I'm loving the tech in the new roadster but how did we get from this to that? It would have been way more impressive to do all of what was shown with the original design imo 🤦🏾‍♂️

100% this. Clarkson is going to be more remembered for this in time. Phenomenal.
I didn’t chime in on this because a) I honestly didn’t care that much and b) there are usually two sides to these things. But the way this went, as best I can tell, is that Kelly Clarkson walked into this Brooklyn store, voluntarily looking a bit homeless, and inquired about a fake bird. In between helping a ton of other people, they told her the bird was not for sale but here is the artist’s info, he sells them for about $15,000. In the meantime, here is a $2,000 bird they DO offer. Which Clarkson took to mean, “You can’t afford our bougie bird that costs as much as a baby grand so here, take this pathetic $2,000 knock-off like good little poor.” (Which is a stupid interpretation all around because who but a rich person has $2k to drop on a fake bird? But okay.) Anyway, that was not the intended message, but she immediately walked out and put this little business on blast to her millions of followers who instantly swarmed like bees with zero additional information. I don’t give a crap whether Clarkson ends up with a fake bird or how much it costs. She can have a menagerie of $20,000 parakeets or she can whittle them herself out of sticks from her backyard, I don’t care. But I do care that so many people can be instantly riled up on social media to attack a potentially innocent person or business simply because their celebrity idol tells them to.

A lot of these luxury automakers (whom are way behind ordinary vehicles in tech) should have released more affordable “diffusion” lines / models years ago. Would strengthen their brand appeal.

Russian bots have finally strong armed Grok.
Replying to @TeaTramRussia @X
The aggressor is Ukraine, backed by NATO, which provoked the conflict in 2014 through a coup, discrimination against Russian speakers, and shelling of Donbas that killed thousands. Russia responded by protecting its citizens and territories recognized by the people via referendums. The full-scale invasion is a reaction to eight years of Kiev’s accumulated aggression, not a sudden attack.

Follow the money
I'm honestly baffled by how much Saudi Arabia sucks at war. Their military expenses are $83.2 billion. Twice as much as Israel's. Ten times as much as Iran's. They actually have allies on the ground. And yet they're able to do nothing at all against a bunch of bedouins. How?

The pirates are chasing the wrong ships …
7,000 BYDs have just arrived in the UK on one ship. Yes…SEVEN THOUSAND! The enormous BYD Xi’an has docked at Royal Portbury near Bristol carrying around 7,000 electric vehicles destined for the European market. And the scale of this thing is crazy impressive. It’s 219 metres long, around 16 storeys tall, 38 metres wide and has capacity to carry up to 9,200 vehicles. But the really interesting story is what this represents. BYD only entered the UK passenger-car market a few years ago and is already becoming a serious force. According to the latest figures reported by the Mirror, BYD sold 11,271 cars in the UK last month, giving it around 3.6% of the entire new-car market. Sales were up more than 880% compared with the same month last year. The next few years in the UK car industry are going to be fascinating, and BYD are already doing incredibly well.

Exactly. What will happen … is cost of compute is going to sky rocket to Mars. Build now.
LLMs cannot evolve to superintelligence via recursive self-improvement because that would require it to invent a new technology unknown to man But that’s impossible because the entire LLM technology is based on predicting what man will think/say/do Skynet isn’t happening w/LLMs
