I pitched an idea in a meeting today. I was the only woman in the meeting. 10 minutes later a man (with a more senior title) pitched the same exact idea.
The person leading the meeting (significantly more senior than ALL of us) cut him off and said โglad you agree with the idea Christina had earlier, itโs nice to have everyone on the same pageโ.
Iโm going to be buzzing from this feeling all weekend.

one time a woman with a medical alert wiener dog sat next to me on a plane and her dog kept alerting on me and she was like "not to be weird but you should get your heart checked out and that's how i found out i had a mildly irregular heart beat. We donโt deserve dogs.

so far in life, the best lesson i've ever learned is that life will go on. people come and go. we lose friends, break up with lovers, meet new people, encounter success and failure, and life will go on. you will be alright.

My wife stopped by police one day as she was going up the ramp into our house. In a wheelchair.
The officer asked to see an ID.
She asked what the problem was.
The officer said he needed to make sure she wasn't a burglar.
"Are you serious?" she asked. "In case you haven't noticed, I am in a wheelchair."
"I know that," the officer said.
"So, what do you think my modus operandi is?" she asked. "Do you think I just ride around the neighborhood, looking for houses that have ramps,so I can break in?"
"You could," he said.
"That would REALLY limit my available victims, don't you think?" she asked.
"Just let me see your ID," he said.
He took her ID--which has our address on it--but still had to enter her information in the computer before he let her go into the house.
I feel safe and secure knowing that we are protected from wheelchair bandits!!
