A community should be able to make its own decisions. stronger community is built by giving people the ability to coordinate, contribute and shape decisions together. I think this is one of the challenges of building digital societies independence is important, but so is knowing how to depend on others without losing your autonomy
shared state sounds simple until you start asking how people coordinate around it 😂 rules, governance, incentives, history, continuity... @ProtocolSociety is exploring how these pieces can work together.

It's A LOT more... In Nation States, the government can't even directly interface with the AI...they exist at a different levels. It can't control the AI, it must control and corral the companies producing it. In a Synchronized State, the government: 1. Interfaces directly with AI, they exist in the same programmable system. It is therefore able to govern the AIs in the system directly. 2. All the state the AI produces remains programmatic and traceable in the same system. Meaning, all the state the AI produces is also able to be governed, and traced throughout its lifetime. 3. All of this can be done automated and programmatically, but governance gains the upper hand of control. 4. The governance power itself can be distributed world-wide easily, formulated however we want, and seamlessly adjusted across the whole system in synchronicity worldwide. They're different worlds. Humanity needs an upgrade. societyprotocol.io/Published…

vs. a 'synchronized state' that remembers ? (dear @V1rtuousCycle ?)
Many seem to assume that AI will favor whichever government has the largest model or the most data. But the real advantage lies with governments that can retain what they learn, Christopher A. Pissarides and @WhiteshieldP's Fadi Farra argue. project-syndicate.org/commen…

AI agent teams will be able to share a working memory (which doesn't get mutated in hand-offs), and outpace human teams (where some of this context always gets lost between every handoff). This will mean that controlling what's in the memory of these AI agents will be equal to world control. We can either form this memory collectively, using (@ProtocolSociety), or leave it to centralized entities and data centers to uphold and control the working memory of the world. The choice is yours.

The reason they run psyops on you...is not because you are stupid and must be fooled, it's because you're slaves and must be food.

People keep complaining about the oppression from the majority towards minorities, but it’s actually always been the organized minority that has ruled the majority throughout all of history.

Fascinating story. The opacity of nation states is what makes these stories normal. Society Protocol (@ProtocolSociety) allows for a transparent programmable history of all tax flows in the system and all parties involved from start-to-finish.
Joe Rogan is stunned to learn British taxpayers were still paying off SLAVE OWNERS until 2015. Britain abolished slavery in 1833. The government paid the slave owners £20,000,000 for their “lost property,” which was 40 PERCENT of the entire budget at the time. Britain couldn’t afford it, so the government borrowed the money. Ordinary taxpayers spent the next 182 years paying interest on it. Not a penny went to the people who had been enslaved. All of it went to the owners. Someone born in 1990 was still paying off that loan. The Treasury confirmed it in 2018. The final bonds weren’t redeemed until February 1, 2015. KARA: “When the British abolished slavery, okay, they wrote a check to the slave owners.” ROGAN: “Oh my god.” KARA: “The British taxpayer was repaying that loan up until 2015.” ROGAN: “Holy sh*t.”

The most beginner-friendly breakdown of Society Protocol we've seen yet. Another recommended read ✅ @sirserney1 stripped away the buzzwords and used simple visuals to explain what synchronized state actually does for a community. Perfect starting point if you're exploring the protocol for the first time 📝 nitter.gq/sirserney1/status/2100…
“bro, what is Society Protocol?” an explanation of @ProtocolSociety in (very) simple terms. “so what does it actually do?” think about an online community. you have people; - a discord. - maybe a treasury. - some rules. - a few tools. but all these things are scattered around. Society Protocol asks: what if the community itself could exist as one persistent digital system?
