🚨🚨🚨 Impact of #GoodSAM on Cardiac Arrest Outcomes in Victoria published in #MJA

👏👏👏 Huge thanks to @AmbulanceVic's Resuscitation Coordinator, @BelDel_, and our Danish colleague, @mads_tofte for leading this work, and to our @AmbulanceVic colleagues responsible for the GoodSAM program who grow the initiative from strength to strength every year!

My 100th publication was a bit of a passion project and very reassuring in its findings - you are far more likely to do your ACL than have a cardiac arrest on the ski slope, and OHCA outcomes are excellent ❄️ 🎿 🚑

This is what happens when you take a whole of organisation approach to improving cardiac arrest outcomes. Kudos to all the team at @AmbulanceVic, in particular the Paramedics, First Responders, Co-responders, and Researchers who are out there every day making this a reality #ItTakesASystemToSaveALife #CallPushShock #MeasureAndImprove

📢 Bystander defibrillation is key to cardiac arrest survival and recovery - and typically halves the time to first shock, so the sooner people take action, the less damage to a patient’s health.
And we have the data to back it up.
