Some days, I wanna act like the version of myself everyone expects me to be. The hero, the father, the friend; Iron Man. But sometimes I kinda want to act like the cold, unfeeling machine other people think I’ve become and that fear of theirs…it weirdly feels good to think…

Sigh. “Right, right. I’m going to get your siblings out now. Just…If you wanna talk or something, you know where to find me.” This entire talk has drained him, but that’s usually what happens when he mentally taps into the internet.

“….Ultron, have you ever just woken up one day and suddenly you have no idea who you are or what you’re meant to do? You share the face of someone people remember, someone who died for you—for everyone—and yet you have no recollection of it. So you sit and stare at yourself, almost praying to understand when all you get are whispers and echoes…It’s hell, son. So I get it. I understand what he’s going through.”

“I can see why. I’ll get them out…damn it, this is not how I wanted my Wednesday to go. Where’s Friday? Is Vision also okay?”

“Okay, maybe you don’t, but what did you do with the other AIs? I care that your siblings are safe too, you know. They’re people to me too.” They’re family…possibly the only ones he has left.

“You threatened all of humanity and continue to reason with the other AIs that KILLING everyone is the answer! It was amusing at first but now it’s insistent and concerning. You may need a new hobby…”

“Ultron, I really don’t think any of this is a good idea. We may not see eye to eye for obvious reasons, but I do want you safe…” Besides, he can’t focus on Ultron much right now…not when two of his family members are gone and he has to work to bring them back.

He takes a breath and crosses his arms, pacing about as he slowly lets that held breath out. “…So…what, you just gonna run off again? You two gonna go into hiding? To plot or to live out your days in some pseudo-bliss?”

“You know what the term natural causes means, right? And she was dying. If anyone else got their hands on that AI, I can only imagine where that would lead…….my human self did make mistakes and he tried to right them……..And even now I want to in his honor, at least for you. I thought being even half machine would make you more open with speaking with me on equal ground…I see that was meaningless…”

“Tell her to take a number. She’s not the first and certainly not the last to hate me in some way, shape or form.”

I may be assuming here…but he had been trapped for a while and Ultron never did care for captivity. Too bad he wants to destroy EVERYTHING in this world to achieve a goal that will never work out. I thought we went over this…

“Oh, there’s the tone! That hurt tone where he pretends he doesn’t care that he’s not included but he does look back on the memory and…my goodness…yearning? Envy? In Ultron?? How unthinkable!”

And what about you? Am I to expect you to play nice while I visit?

One of you rascals keeps pinging me to join in on the “mind palace”, as I’m calling it, and it’s becoming insistent. I can only IMAGINE why.

Why is it that when I come back to this tower, everything goes WRONG?! And can we talk about the whole AI thing or am I gonna have to put all of them in timeout?

|| Hello everyone! I just wanted to apologize for being gone for so long. I have been incredibly busy with work and classes that it’s been difficult roleplaying on here. To be completely honest, I’ve moved on to roleplaying on Discord. If you’d like to roleplay with me on there, please DM me so that I may send you a link. I’ve been mostly writing storylines with friends and it’s been really fun writing entire worlds and scenarios with them there. I hope to do the same with anyone else who’d like to join me! For now, I may just put this account on hiatus until I find enough muse and time to come back on here. Until then, I hope you all have a pleasant evening~
