UAE - A British colony until the 1970s - now a world economic centre (the oil probably helped!) Rwanda - Genocide in 1994 that killed up to a million in a few months - now an emerging African military and economic powerhouse.
This is Nagasaki in 2026. Imagine if they spent the past 80 years wallowing in self-pity and blaming the US? It's incredible what you can accomplish when you decide to pick yourself up, move forward, and take responsibility for your own outcomes.

Christians are being slaughtered for their faith in Nigeria. The persecution of our brothers and sisters in Christ must not be met with silence. Pray for the families mourning their loved ones and for the persecuted Church around the world.
Nigeria attack kills 60+ Christians in a market raid that burned homes and displaced thousands. The attack comes as extremist Islamic violence has already claimed over 3,000 Christian lives and targeted hundreds of churches this year.

Lieberman is the most unknown of the characters to me...ostensibly right-wing but the sense I get is that he wants the same social benefits for Russian Jews that the Haredim get?
It will be a huge credit to the Russian community if Lieberman doesn't pass the threshold. It will mean the Russian community sees themselves as Israeli.

How many "conservatives" believe that there was a conspiracy to kill JFK? Thanks to Vasili Mitrokhin, we know those conspiracy theories were invented in Moscow Center. How many believe that we "had no business" in Vietnam? Same thing.

I'm not sure if this is black-pilling or red-pilling: - Nothing matters if you don't win. - History is written by the victors. - The winner gets to define right and wrong. - There is no truth but power.
Nice Lula you have there It would be a shame if someone Maduro'd him

"It would also remove our influence on foreign nations and allow China or Russia to move forward on the world stage, peddling influence for power while we tried to recover from our disastrous decision." That's the whole point. That's the op.
Being America first is not something you as an American should have to announce to anyone. It is all pretty simple, yet people try to complicate it while also stripping it of nuance. They also love to conflate America first with America only, even though being an isolationist in today’s world would significantly hurt America. Alliances that help maintain American dominance in the world are a good thing. An America only isolationist stance is, to put it mildly, incredibly stupid. It would effectively end the dollar as the reserve currency, which would in turn destroy American economics and likely crash our entire economy and then the world’s economy, yet other nations would quickly reestablish deals with each other and recover much faster than we could. It would also remove our influence on foreign nations and allow China or Russia to move forward on the world stage, peddling influence for power while we tried to recover from our disastrous decision. It would then take us out of the decision making process for international affairs, which would mean some other power would lead in those efforts and make decisions that benefited them and not us. Just like you trudging through the world alone without family, friends, or coworkers to help you would be pretty lonely and stupid, the same is true for nations. There are allies and there are enemies. There are good allies and mediocre ones. There are worse enemies and insignificant ones. Discernment is important, because nothing happens in a vacuum. These concepts are only difficult for someone trying to push a narrative to get you to think or believe a certain way. Don’t fall for it.

This is Col. Mefager Benkalba. After four years of service as the IDF's Turkish language spokesman, Mefager is retiring to spend more time with his dogs, Ana and Carrie. 👀 There are rumors that he may start a podcast. Please join me in thanking Col. Benkalba for his service!

The apartheid is getting worse. Looks like the Arabs in Israel have almost doubled their number of seats in Israeli government. What's next, free dental care? This is worse than the gulag.

Missing some context here. There was, in fact, a political party in Israel that long embraced the possibility of a Palestinian state. That was the Labor Party. But then the second intifada happened, the Palestinian Authority abandoned any pretense of democracy, and Hamas was elected in Gaza, killed off the opposition — and then, well, attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, murdering more than 1,200. Had the Palestinians, at any step along the way, accepted the Jewish state, and embraced self-rule, they would, no doubt, be in a very different place today. They might even have a state. But because Palestinians can’t push past their hatred of Israel, because so many of their “supporters” insist on viewing them as toddlers and encourage that hatred (financially and otherwise), they remain confined to a quasi-permanent liminality. Which is awful for Palestinians but very useful for those who wish to use them as a cudgel with which to bludgeon Israel.
This is true. Except for the Arab parties, nearly all of Israel’s factions agree on one thing: opposing a Palestinian state. The problem isn’t just about Netanyahu. That’s always been a cop-out to distract from a much deeper problem at the core of the contemporary Israel state.

Fun fact, same writer of this article was the writer for the game that tanked the studio.
Don’t Nod, the studio behind the original Life is Strange, is collapsing. The French developer is facing a near-total layoff, up to 85 jobs, which would leave its French teams with only a small number of employees. The studio has struggled with a string of underperforming releases, the most recently the sci-fi adventure Aphelion. Don’t Nod has warned that it may not have enough funding to continue operating beyond January 31, 2027, and has entered a French “safeguard” procedure to restructure its finances.

Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza vote in their own elections, in Gaza and the West Bank. Are you daft? The fact that they have ended up with jihadist dictatorships is not Israel’s responsibility any more than the fact that Iranians have ended up with jihadist dictatorships is Israel’s responsibility. Jihadists are responsible for that. And you, for your useful idiot support of continued oppression of Palestinians and Iranians.
She knows that the actual issue is the 6 million Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank who can’t vote. She just thinks you’re too dumb to know.
