There's something in the wind...~💜

Book #3 is going well so far! I have to punch holes in each signature in order to prepare them for sewing.
The book on the right, my last project, was done VERY poorly and resulted in a mess when sewn.
I worked slow and kept things nice and tight this go-round.

Project #3 is in full-swing! This one is another copy of the last project, but as a private commission by a friend ^v^
I didn't expect OR want a comm so soon-
Because I'm still VERY much a novice, I'm only charging for materials and I'm waiting until after I finish to charge.

First time in a while that I've felt down. It's not a big deal, I have the tools to deal with it now, but I definitely did NOT miss this feeling x>
I'm sure all will be well. Be good to yourselves💜
If you try and act as a "Food Service Manager" without any experience, you will be fragged within a month-

i hope you have a good day today and if it’s not good i hope you know that the pigeons still love you
It's difficult to understate how surreal this is for me.
After 1 week; a total of around 7 hours of active labor and several nights of waiting, I've hand-bound my second and largest book to-date.
Nearly 500 pages, 130,000 words. Even the cloth cover is made by hand.
This novel is ready for a cover.
I had a hand in writing the story here. It's a long one; written by a dozen different artists and several writers- myself included- over the course of eight years.
It feels SO good to hold this in my hands. Seven hours of labor, give or take!
Tonight, I trimmed down the edges of the text block. The first pic is how they were before. I made a few mistakes, but I think I recovered nicely 💜
Tomorrow comes the case, and we'll call this one finished!
