A very irresponsible tweet.
The Democratic Alliance is leading the City of Tshwane voting results with 33.9%, followed by the African National Congress at 24.9%, as residents’ voting preferences emerge. Tune in to #eNCA on #DStv403.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
These figures come from an eNCA MarkData poll asking Tshwane residents who they plan to vote for. They are not voting results. The local elections are on 4 November 2026. enca.com/news-shows-top… allafrica.com/stories/202605…

Oh banovalo 🕊️
Whether you believe in a higher power or not, Joburg collapsing in real time right before a municipal election could not be a clearer sign of why you need to vote. And vote wisely.

The amount of people who believe this picture is real 🕊️
Jada Pinkett Smith dresses up as Tupac for Halloween. 🎃
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
This image is AI-generated. There is no evidence that Jada Pinkett Smith dressed up as Tupac for Halloween. The post presents fabricated content as real and appears designed to provoke backlash and encourage hate toward Jada. Original pic: instagram.com/p/CxVyMlJJjBt/…

One of my favourite novels is Ingqumbo yeminyanya
Phyllis Ntantala's husband, professor & activist Mzolisa A.C. Jordan was a pioneering figure in South African literature. He is the author of the iconic isiXhosa novel, Ingqumbo yeMinyanya, which Ntantala later translated to English. Today marks his 120th birthday.

It is not lost to anyone with a memory how white racists instinctively seek Zulu nationalism, as a partner in their quest to divide and conquer. I hope those who lost relatives, were maimed and lost property in KZN, the East Rand, those who survived the violence on trains and hostels, will speak. The Zulu nation, a proud "member" of South Africa's rich tapestry, will tell us if they approve of right wing SA's renewed interest in them. And the rest of South Africa? Apartheid South Africa's financial and security support for the IFP cost this country dearly. Do we want that again?

I would like to see the Zulu Kingdom restored to its former glory, and be left alone by politicians.

He’s lying.
WATCH | “This is unfounded, and there is no basis for that." IFP’s Alco Ngobese has rejected allegations made by former apartheid police officer Eugene de Kock at the TRC Cases Inquiry, denying that the party received money from him or his associates.

That I have to stand on the shoulders of giants to see her hairline aside, she is actually throwing married pregnant women under the bus.

On 15 October 1993, exactly a week after this order to murder children (8 October 1993), De Klerk was announced as the joint winner of the Nobel Peace Prize.
De Kock alleges that former President F.W. de Klerk gave the order for five children to be murdered in Mthatha. He further says De Klerk’s Nobel Peace Prize should be revoked. #KayaNews #TRC TT

These talking points aren't even new. Many years ago, people were angry about halaal certifications. They were even angry about how muslim learners were permitted to wear their uniform with their headscarves. Regressive thinking always surfaces. Now it's our turn to push back against it.
this halal chatter is hilarious cause the biggest church in south africa literally uses halal branding to know what to buy. 🤣🤣
