3 things that make a gaming Short more entertaining: 1. Personality. Give people a reason to watch YOU, not just the gameplay. 2. Storytelling. Create curiosity and give viewers a reason to keep watching. 3. Editing. Emphasize the important moments instead of adding effects just for the sake of it. Great gameplay is only part of the equation!

A common mistake I see gaming creators make: Thinking they need constant memes, sound effects and transitions to keep viewers engaged. Good editing helps, but it's not everything. A strong hook gets people watching. Your personality gives them a reason to stay and come back. Don't lose yourself trying to make your content entertaining!

One thing I see a lot of creators overlook: If you're posting on TikTok, Instagram / Facebook Reels and YouTube Shorts, don't make the mistake of treating all four platforms exactly the same. Yes, you can use the same original video across all four platforms, but that doesn't mean you should upload the exact same version everywhere. A few things to keep in mind: โ€ข Adjust your descriptions to fit each platform. โ€ข Make sure your video doesn't contain watermarks from another platform. โ€ข Pay attention to how your audience consumes content on each platform. โ€ข Don't rely on one platform's performance to predict how the video will perform elsewhere. One video can reach four different audiences, but you still need to give each platform a reason to show it to theirs. Work smarter with the content you already have. Hope this helps!

Quick PSA for all YouTube creators: Whenever you share a direct link to one of your YouTube videos, it may not reach as large an audience as you'd hope. YouTube generally doesn't favor traffic coming from external links, and videos with a high percentage of external traffic may get less distribution on the Home page and other Browse features. Instead, try this: โ€ข Post the thumbnail and link to your channel instead. That way, viewers who click through will count as channel page traffic, and your video can still be recommended through YouTube's other discovery features. โ€ข On Twitch or Kick, link your channel rather than the individual video for the same reason. Hope this helps!

i used to make the same mistake i see A LOT of creators in the gaming space do all the time the engagement and views are great in both of the attached pictures, however one type of feed is getting me 20x the amount of brand deals compared to the other. in the first picture my feed is essentially what felt natural for me to post; selfies, outfits, makeup looks etc. second picture i am leaning more heavily into my niche, which is (nordic) gaming & tech creator. of course with a mix of selfies and outfits etc in there because i still like that :) there are a million creators out there fighting for the same brands and budgets - and the best way to stand out is to be clear in which type of creator you are. only one of these feeds actually cater to gaming / esports / tech brands, the other one is catering to my twitch viewers. both high engagements, both performing well - however only one of them is actively making me a candidate for brand deals. at least that's my experience! lmk ๐Ÿ’ญ
