Suomenlahdella kulki mysteerilaiva, jota ei löytynyt Marine Trafficista. AIS-tieto kun heitti sen sijainnin Keski-Venäjälle. Vessel Finder sentään osasi oikein. Jäänsärkijä Andrei Vilkitski ilmeisesti jo matkalla työmaalle eli Karanmerelle. Akerin suunnittelema, Wärtsilän koneet.
Toljatissa palaa. Tämä taitaa olla lyhyen ajan sisällä jo toinen isku suureen petrokemian tehtaaseen Toljattikautšukiin, joka tunnetaan varsinkin autonrenkaisiin käytettävän synteettisen kumin valmistajana. Loppuukohan Kama Tyresiltä kohta raaka-aine?
Näitä kuvia olen jo pitkään odotellut. Suomen entinen Crotale Ukrainassa. Puolustusvoimathan lopetti iäkkäiden Crotale-järjestelmien joukkotuotannon jo muutamia vuosia sitten.
Hyvään paikkaan menivät.

The Israel Defense Forces on Monday announced the appointment of the first commander of a new Space Division, which will lead the military’s space warfare efforts.
The military said the Space Division, based out of the Planning Directorate, will “lead force buildup and operations, consolidate knowledge and training, and advance the field of space as a dedicated military profession.”
The division was established after the military said it identified that “the space domain has become an active combat domain and will become an increasingly expanding military arena in the coming years, with national significance.”

Miksi ihmeessä täysin vaaraton esine on hävitetty? Tuohan olisi ollut jossain kesäkuppilassa tai museossa pieni vetonaula. 😁 hs.fi/helsinki/art-200001235…

In the past, the US national interest (i.e. "what's good for America" for the those with limited vocabularies) was to have allies who would support you, would take decisions not always in their own interests, because of the respect the US had.
That has evaporated. Yeah, there will be cloying sycophants calling you "daddy"; you can still try to bully countries to do what you want, you can sell out entire nations for personal gain, but the a priori respect, that positive view of Americans you enjoyed for 8 decades, that's gone. It will take decades, if ever, again to be viewed as Winthrop's Shining City on a Hill.
America to the world is at best undergraduate level and dumb pontification about Western Civilisation, and otherwise just red-hatted MAGA boors, chanting "America, Fuck yeah"
Hieno liittolainen meillä.
Latest: Zelenskyy tells reporters over WhatsApp that restrictions on Ukraine's Starlink systems remain. Interceptor drones can't function, logistics and operations hobbled. The maximum speed is 161 kph; "exceeding this limit causes the Starlink connection to cut out completely, resulting in the loss of the drone."
He says Ukraine has done tests to determine whether SpaceX is truly facing technical issues, as has been told Kyiv by the US side, or if this is a "deliberate operation... to restrict us, cut us off, and prevent us from defending ourselves and protecting our people, both at the front and among the civilian population."
He says Ukraine "sent a couple of vehicles equipped with Starlink terminals into European Union territory."
"They moved at speeds exceeding 180kph, and the Starlink systems worked perfectly. We have the relevant logs and evidence to prove this."
He adds: "The conclusion is clear: the restrictions are in effect within Ukraine but do not apply within the European Union. In other words, this is a planned operation."
Postilaatikosta kopsahti tuorein Sotilasaikakauslehti. Lehti ei ole enää entisensä (valitettavasti), mutta onhan siellä sentään tuttu droonit vrs. panssarit -vääntö. Jälkimmäisiä puolustaa jo kylmän sodan juoksuhaudoista tuttu kaksikko. Suosittelen.
Hienosti toteutettu WSJ:n juttu.
Melkoinen kertomus vakoilusta, sabotaasista ja loikkauksesta Ukrainaan. wsj.com/world/russian-defect…
Harmittava takaisku. Etten sanoisi.
Last night, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck an airfield in the Voronezh region. Four Su-34 aircraft were destroyed and two more Su-34s were hit. The Russians used them to terrorize our people. These very warplanes were ready to launch new attacks on Ukraine and were loaded with aerial bombs.
Our Long Neptune missile was used to strike the target. I thank the warriors of the Ukrainian Navy for their precision!
Our long-range sanctions also reached a site in the Oryol region used to store and launch attack drones. A target was also hit in the Black Sea.
These are our justified responses to all of Russia’s terror against Ukraine. Russia is dragging out the war, so our long-range operations will continue.
