I ride bikes most of the time & a physiotherapist for the rest of it. Don't be too careful folks, you may hurt yourself.

I have said it multiple times over the years. I have seen enough athletic careers ruined and finished by CHO restriction and related low-energy intake disorders as well as mental health issues. Truly heartbreaking… Luckily now, the new generations of high-level athletes understand VERY well the need and the great effects of CHO on performance. In cycling for example, going from 30-55g/h (the old and irrational guidelines) to >80-100g/h has been an absolute game changer in the sport and any high level competitive cyclist can confirm this. It has been a a hard fight and I was crucified by some “top eminences in nutrition” ~18 years ago as this concept was absolutely lunatic and impossible…. Nowadays in the sport of cycling if you have a CHO intake of 30-55g/h you are totally done. K.O. Finally we are making progress. Competitive athletes are far more knowledgeable and educated and this has been key.

We often attack people for riding bikes dressed like that over here...
The work commute is statistically the longest and least frequent type of journey we make in a day. Yet it dominates transport planning. Now more than ever, cities must build cycle networks to support recurring local trips: to the corner store, café, community center, or school.

These are the same physios that 8 weeks ago were working in familiar outpatient musculoskeletal services, then on ITU for 3 weeks. Now following the patients through their recovery on to the rehab wards. These Physios are very versatile workers ✊
Amazing work by my physio colleagues. This rehab ward and all the staff are amazing. @UHBTherapy #COVIDrehab

Having just entered this so pleased to see all the Women racing in one race rather than spread out through the day. Ever felt like giving MTB XC racing a go ladies? First round is a great venue and course. #loveMTB
