As part of Hate Crime Awareness Week 2026, Victim Support NI and the Hate Crime Advocacy Service brought stakeholders together at the Accidental Theatre on 15 October to explore the impact of hate crime and the role restorative justice can play in addressing harm. The discussion was brought to life through Offside, a play written and performed by Hollow Reed Theatre. Developed in collaboration with Victim Support NI, NI Alternatives and Community Restorative Justice Ireland, the production drew on months of shared expertise and experience to create a thought-provoking performance that challenged perspectives and encouraged meaningful conversation. Thank you to our speakers, partners and everyone who joined us for this important event! #HCAW2026 #HateCrimeAwarenessWeek #HateCrime #RestorativeJustice

We're looking forward to joining @wearehourglass_ in Lisburn this evening for the launch of its Northern Ireland office and a first look at its Northern Ireland manifesto. Abuse in later life too often goes unrecognised, leaving older people without the support they need. Hourglass’ growing presence in Northern Ireland is an opportunity to strengthen specialist support and ensure older people’s experiences inform political decisions. wearehourglass.org/abuse-old…

⚠️ Report Fraud is urging the public to stay alert to telephone scams that spoof Caller ID, following a rise in reports of fraudsters posing as police officers. ❌ The police will never call asking you to transfer money, or share personal/financial info 📞 Unsure if it's really the police calling you? Contact the police on 101 to check. ⛔ Don’t trust the Caller ID display on your phone – it’s not proof of ID. Find out more: cityoflondon.police.uk/news/…
