Copa is the Emirates of the Americas. Panama has about 4.5 million people. Last year its main airport handled 21 million passengers, and roughly 7 in 10 of them were just changing planes. Copa built that hub, and it did it with nothing but 737s.

Living in Costa Rica 🇨🇷 is such a beautiful experience. This morning in my wonderful little neighborhood a small heard of cows broke loose from the ranch about a mile away. Instead of cars honking or police being called. My neighbor and I just walked them back to their place and we laughed about it. That would never have been the result back in the Bay Area

Today’s helpful hint. If you are building in El Salvador, don’t forget to build hammock hooks into your building columns. Otherwise, you will have to bust your buns to drill through the wall. Apparently, the window cages don’t hold up to major hammock use. Ask me how I know that

No pension and no big investment to make? Rentista residency is how many people get legal residency in Central America, but the rules change from one country to the next. Belize doesn’t have it at all, and Panama only counts interest from its own state banks. Our new guide covers all seven countries. centralamerica.com/living/le…

To the government of Costa Rica 🇨🇷 Removing the "territorial tax" country branding is a very, very bad idea Unless you're only goal is to remove productive immigrants/expats from your country and see foreign investment dry up with the quickness Which if the goal is to get rid of foreigners living in the country, this will 100% do it
A proposed Costa Rica foreign income tax would make it the only Central American country taxing residents on overseas investment income. Here’s what expats and potential expats should know. centralamerica.com/living/da…
