80 years today Eve Leadbeater travelled unaccompanied at 8 years old on Kindertransport to escape the atrocities of the Holocaust and arrived in Gedling Today we celebrated the phenomenal woman Eve. Eve has not forgotten her history and neither should we.

Yesterday my Y12 group sat a Y6 SATs paper as a revision knowledge test. These students got grades 7/8/9 on their GCSEs and are getting B/A/A* at A Level, and yet the highest mark was 35/50. If they can’t do it, how can we expect 11 year olds to sit it???
