Do people still promote econ papers here? Here is an experiment about school-choice market design. papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.…

I currently have a paper under review. Because I cannot wait for the decision, I downloaded a Tarot card app to get feedback that is about as random as a referee report. This is my card. Let's go! I can draw a card for your submission, too!

Why would you say that when it is easy to check that the opposite is true? There are many papers about it. That is not even a relevant fact. Why lie about it?
I’m not endorsing a party in the German elections, as it’s not my country and we hope to have good relations with all Germans. But this is an interesting piece. Also interesting; American media slanders AfD as Nazi-lite, But AfD is most popular in the same areas of Germany that were most resistant to the Nazis.

Terrible contest design at the World Blitz Chess Championship 2024. The top 8 players after 13 rounds enter the knock-out stage. All the 8 players at the top were paired against each other and almost immediately agreed to a draw. That is not what spectators want to see.

One reason for this format was to avoid such situations. nitter.gq/chess24com/status/1873…
The new World Blitz format was introduced to deal with a perceived problem of quick draws in the final rounds in previous years. We've had draws in 12, 7 & 8 moves on the top boards so far in Round 12! #RapidBlitz

A new first in my role as seminar organizer: I will announce a talk with the authors' musical abstract. Surprisingly, it's quite a banger (paper, of course, by Kfir Eliaz and Rani Spiegler) suno.com/song/67c8c9cd-ea86-…

I feel anxious and saddened by Trump’s election. Years of turmoil and uncertainty await us. I have also come to believe that this is not Trump’s win. It is the Democrats who have lost this election.

I went to an American diner tonight. It was full of people with red hats. After they stood up and sang this, they forced me to tip 47%?!? youtube.com/watch?v=_tUctFu4…

Counterpoint: This article has a point, and the reactions to it are a bit juvenile. You can just say "fair enough," shrug, and ignore it, but trying to belittle their already little point suggests that maybe it isn't that small after all.
Stop using ‘summer’, ‘winter’ and the rest when inviting researchers to events — it’s a small step, but it’s necessary and inclusive go.nature.com/4dUMxT0

lol at my cameo here! I remember this well. I didn't even intend to play, but there was a free slot.
Kamil Plichta as we had not seen him before. Chills. @kaldas90

I am proud to say that I have been an Elon hater since day one, but, fucking hell, this guy is an even bigger jerk than I could have ever imagined. So sad to see what he made out of good ol' twitter.

I find this hilarious! Here is where the AI goes off the uploaded paper's content and cooks up this dialogue, which ironically is an AI suggesting how AI would make the whole thing even better. This is NOT in the paper.
This AI-generated Podcast does a surprisingly good job at introducing the paper. The technical part has a few hiccups, but "they" come up with good examples! Weirdly, at 9:15, they talk about AI research ideas that are NOT in the paper?! youtu.be/wt1uy9DoI74

The podcast was generated by uploading the paper to notebooklm.google.comand the video was created with getaudiogram.com The idea was to upload it directly to twitter, but only short videos are allowed for regular users so I uploaded it here youtu.be/wt1uy9DoI74

Only few creators make 💸💸💸 from their digital content forbes.com/sites/stevenberto… but most creators cannot live from content creation. Hence, platforms experiment with monetisation schemes to also make this a viable career when audiences are small. So we wrote a paper. (1/6)
