My 1000th #wikipedia page/stub. Written because of the Kevin Thiele photograph to the right. Stub or not, as always it involved #wikidata work and #wikicommons work. In wikidata adding to articles, authors, and taxa. @annreynolds988 @SiobhanLeachman @wm_au

I've been using @inaturalist / UK for years and only just discovered all my records and photos had no license applied 🙀 This meant no one else could use them for anything! I've now fixed this for all past and future records. If you are a @inaturalist user, check your settings!

Army ants are blind, relying on pheromones to track the ones in front, if one ant intersects with its old trail, it results in a circular death trap where they spiral until they die from exhaustion

I just stumbled upon a fish species that was not in Wikipedia nor Wikidata and no image in #gbif nor #iNaturalist. Luckily the authors published their work with a CC-BY license which allowed direct reuse of figures in #Wikipedia. @friel is this your work? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoplom…
