Our nation’s democratic system functioned last night and we have a new President-elect. All Americans are bound, whether we like the outcome or not, to accept the results of our elections. We now have a special responsibility, as citizens of the greatest nation on earth, to do everything we can to support and defend our Constitution, preserve the rule of law, and ensure that our institutions hold over these coming four years. Citizens across this country, our courts, members of the press and those serving in our federal, state and local governments must now be the guardrails of democracy.

This is so good. Jennifer Lopez gave one of the most powerful & moving speeches I’ve ever heard at last night’s Kamala Harris rally in Vegas. She is activating the Latino community & making Donald Trump & his ilk find out. Please watch & share this.

Tomorrow is the two year anniversary of the tragic shooting in Uvalde, Texas. In response to this devastating event, Oregonians across the state came together to gather petition signatures and put Measure 114 on the ballot. We look forward to the day M114 can go into full effect.

My fellow Americans:
It’s been the honor of my life to serve as your President.
I draw strength and find joy in working for the people.
But this sacred task of perfecting our Union is not about me. It’s about you. Your families. Your futures.
It’s about “We the People.”

I support VP Harris. Gender doesn’t affect the ability to lead. America is the only free society who hasn’t had a woman at the top.

RNC RECAP: Despite being just days after the Trump shooting, the RNC ended without addressing gun policy.
The only mentions of guns were:
1) Delegates mocking gunshot injuries
2) Vance bragging about irresponsible gun ownership
3) An AR-15 giveaway
Shameful.

The former Uvalde police chief was indicted
It took 77 minutes for police officers to confront the shooter because they were afraid of the 18yo with an AR-15.
19 students & 2 teachers were slaughtered, 17 others injured.
We must #BanAssaultWeapons.
