The irony here is that Bret’s success at Wisconsin/Illinois and failure at Arkansas is a pretty perfect example of how much more difficult life in the SEC is.
NEW: Illinois' Bret Bielema after beating Nebraska: "But to be in this job, where we’re at right now, 6-3, we beat another 5-3 team. If we were in the SEC, we’d probably be a top-15 team." (via @IllinoisRivals) on3.com/news/bret-bielema-af…

Longest run by an opposing running back this season.
It's Daune Morris for 6, TOUCHDOWN TENNESSEE. 66 yard TD run!

When you have a game in the SEC that they definitely have an agenda for, they will send in David Smith and his crew. If you have noticed this by now, you're blind.
Completely unbiased take here…. The blatant rigged refs for Texas right now is insanely unfair for Mizzou. I’ve never seen anything like this so consistently

AP voters are willing to put Alabama 10 spots ahead of Tennessee and I’m supposed to believe David Smith is an unbiased official… I’m stupid, not that stupid.

This is the most egregious overturned TD of the 3. This happens on every play on every offensive line. And didn’t affect the outcome at all.
Tennessee has its third touchdown pass called back due to a penalty. The #Vols eventually settle for a field goal to extend their lead 24-17.

David Smith has called every penalty under the sun on Tennessee but Sellers and SC got away with intentional grounding, illegal blocking downfield, and putting the ball on the ground that would typically constitute the end of a play.

Not with smith leading the crew it’s not. Most obvious official help in college football history. @SECOfficiating he better never ref a Vols game again. Not a coincidence we just smoked bama and he’s here doing this. We demand a review or literally anything
wait that was definitely a backwards pass right????

WILD STORY: Peyton Manning became one of the most hated men in Mississippi after choosing Tennessee over Ole Miss, where his father Archie was a legend. Fans viewed it as betrayal, and Archie received nasty phone calls and letters. This story is crazy:

Wait a minute! You mean everyone saying “Tennessee will be overrated again” every preseason is wrong? Tennessee has actually been the most underrated SEC team of the preseason over the last 5 years?

Kirk explains it very well. As long as you get your eyes back to the QB, you can actually pull out a Glock and slime the WR.

Neyland is the only big environment where refs lean with the away team. Texas was clearly short of the 1st. Then we immediately let them score. Fucking hate this shit

As a UGA fan of course I hate Tennessee but this must be the easiest enemy-of-my-enemy situation of my life. Tennessee is a border state and a storied historic rivalry. Texas is a warrantlessly cocky SEC upstart and the poster child for orchestrated foreign invasion. Go Vols.

The revisionist history of College Gameday for the sake of G5 coddling needs to be stopped. Throughout the history of the show, they’ve been on campus for 18 G5 games. 10 of those 18 games were top 25 G5 games, and 3 of those 8 were hosted by service academies (non-Army/Navy standalone Gameday). To sum it up, if Gameday had gone to Boise/WMU, it would’ve been the 6th time in more than 30 years of the show that they went to a non-service Academy G5 campus for an unranked matchup. Gameday hasn’t lost itself, people are just creating associations that were never there.
Year is 2000. ESPN College GameDay goes to best game. No mention of the lower rated ACC or SEC games on Jefferson-Pilot. Seldom cover 1-AA, WAC, MAC games on UHF stations. They DO preview EVERY top 25 type matchup. Everyone says show is GREAT! 2026 SAME SHOW - where's everyone?
