W.A. Perry is officially a Common Sense Media Recognized School! Our students have more possibilities at their fingertips than any previous generation. But making the most of it—knowing what to trust, who to credit, and when to close the laptop is something students need to be taught. This honor acknowledges our commitment to teaching these skills and to involving our whole school community—students, educators, and families. A special thank you to Ms. Rister for leading our school's digital literacy efforts. #RiseTogetherSoarForever

6th Grade BLAST Aerospace Magnet students recently visited the American Airlines maintenance facility in Charlotte for an up-close look at the people and technology that keep airplanes flying. Students explored aviation careers and learned how engineers, mechanics, and other aviation professionals use STEM skills to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft. Experiences like this connect classroom learning to real-world careers and help our students see what’s possible in the world of aerospace! 🚀✈️
