Looks like Spokane will stay red, just barely. The latest ballot drop shows Republican Baumgartner leading Conroy by nearly 10k votes. Unlike Seattle, where later votes trend to the left, Spokane leftists seem to vote early.
In a local race that brings me much joy, incumbent NIMBY car dealership owner Amy Walen has lost her seat to a progressive challenger in the WA state house. This is in the rich tech suburbs east of Seattle.
Spokane County has 58k ballots left to count. This definitely isn’t over yet

one day Spokane will be liberated…just not this cycle I guess
Baumgartner led 50.9% to 48.7% in the 5th Congressional District, a narrow lead but one that has widened since Tuesday night as more votes have been counted. seattletimes.com/seattle-new…

WA-05 is definitely one to watch for an update tonight. Incumbent R Baumgartner is leading by 1,857 votes right now with 87,000 ballots estimated out in the blue counties vs. just 16,650 in the red rurals.
I am so fucking relived this chudster lost
Oh yeah, one last thing.
One of the people we had inside the @katy4congress campaign might be someone you’d recognize…
It looks like the Green Party has flipped a state legislative seat in Hawaii! It comes in #HD14, a Harris+16 seat covering the Lahaina area.
Pāʻele Kiakona was a major activist during the wildfires there and won major union support for his campaign. He beat a Democrat and the Democrat-turned-Republican incumbent (who only got less than 20% of the vote)

Workers deserve more. We deserve real representation and respect and I think it’s time that we get it. Thank you, CA-34!
