🚨 IMPORTANT: The DA can confirm reports that lawyers acting for the Minister of Finance have approached our lawyers proposing an out-of-court settlement, in the matter the DA brought to interdict the VAT increase scheduled for May 1.
The DA is awaiting a formal written settlement offer before responding to the Minister’s request. We will update the public of developments in due course.
We can also confirm that a DA delegation is due to meet a high-level ANC delegation tomorrow, at which these discussions will be taken further.

It's sad that South African voters did not support our campaign to "Stop Zuma" in sufficient numbers to prevent the lost decade.
You don’t. Businesses are not there to provide employment. Employment is a serendipitous byproduct of business. Choosing employees using any other criterion than ability is is foolish. We need to build an economy, a society will take care of itself.
South Africans need jobs but businesses prefer to hire foreigners! How do we build a society that puts South Africans first? #SASpeaks

I'm quite gobsmacked at this article. The only people blowing the whistle and actively opposing state capture, were the DP/DA. We were dismissed as racists for our trouble, including by the media. The so-called "ANC good guys" actually started and refined State Capture.

Astounding. I post a tweet to show how WRONG and HATEFUL all race-based generalisations are, and I get accused of making race-based generalisations. Either the problem of reading-for-meaning is worse than we thought or this is just willful misrepresentation. I suspect the latter.
Isn’t libel the word?

We landed at 07:10, on runway R26L at Frankfurt International Airport. There was a potential for morning fog, but it didn’t materialise during our approach. Our cabin crew, led by Roger, did a great job on this full… instagram.com/p/B4FJZArnfJj/…

The minerals are not a blessing; their a curse. And the mining charter is disastrous.
Mining is not about Gold. It is about a number of minerals that our country is blessed with. We must protect them. We are investing in exploration & geological mapping. We must position ourselves to play our role in the economy #InvestinSAMining @DMR_SA @Energy_ZA

It’s staggering how we keep electing into office people who neither understand nor accept our constitution, including its supremacy, which makes judges its ultimate guardians #JustAThought
