ALT Planning decisions. 31 October 2026. What you need to know before 31 October. The new National Scheme of Delegation comes into force on 31 October 2026. 1 it is a national change- Wealden must follow the rules. 2 - Schedule 1 Must normally be decided by officers. 3- Schedule 2 Can potenitally go to Committee, but officer decision is the starting point. 4 - The gateway- Requires national criteria and agreement from the nominated officer and councillor. 5 - You can still have your say - Comments on applications and relevant planning matters will still be considered. 6- We’ll publish gateway decisions - Outcomes and reasons will be available on our website.

Decision 1. The appeal is dismissed.

ALT planning decisions. 31 October 2026. What is Schedule 2? Schedule 2 covers applications which can potentially be considered by planning committee. But...schedule 2 does not mean committee. The national starting point is still officer decision. An application must meet the national gateway criteria before it can be referred to committee.
