This week I spent three days at the @WarsawForum by @FundPulaskiego, listening to ministers, generals, and defense CEOs.
- It's better to kill the archer than intercept all the arrows, that's an eye-opening statement by @general_ben
- Even the best 4-layer air defence systems stop only 75% of attacks. The protective dome everyone talks about doesn't exist
- Ukraine is our border, but Europe supports it with 0,1% of GDP, while we plan to invest 35x more for our own defense, which shows our priorities
Here's what I took away:
- Europeans don't trust each other's equipment enough to buy it. This fragmentation means we rebuild the same capabilities 27 times
