Latest update on the #marburgvirus disease outbreak in #Ghana. Great to see the active leadership of the government in responding to this outbreak esp enhanced surveillance, contract tracing, and increased clinician sensitization ongoing on case detection, management, and IPC.

Remember how South Korea 🇰🇷 found lots of COVID cases early on and controlled the outbreak?
Portugal 🇵🇹quickly identified monkeypox cases and now has lower daily case counts, total at 588. Brazil 🇧🇷late to identify cases, now has 696.
Likewise, US 🇺🇸slow to test, saw sudden rise

It appears we are at the very beginning of a spring COVID wave in Ontario. Wastewater signals from many parts of the province are up.
It is currently unclear how large this wave (or wavelet?) will be, but it would not be surprising to see a bump in hospitalizations soon.
