ALT UK Riots - Leeds Women’s Aid Statement: “As a charity with a proudly diverse employee and client base in our vibrant city of Leeds, we are devastated to see terrorism, racism and Islamophobia across the UK masquerading as concern for the horrific murders of Elsie Dot Stancombe, Bebe King, and Alice Dasilva Aguiar in Southport. This is especially concerning for Black, Asian and minoritised victim-survivors who may be experiencing further threats of violence and abuse in the community. We are working to support our employees and clients during this terrifying time. We must all unite in solidarity to denounce this abhorrent behaviour.” -Nik Peasgood, Chief Executive of Leeds Women’s Aid
