This is absolutely sickening news. 🥲
Thoughts with his teammates and family.
Tenerife striker Jesus de Miguel has died at the age of 30 following an incident that saw his side’s Spanish second division match abandoned on Monday.

Shades of Toni Schumacher v Patrick Battiston sadly from those old enough to remember. Prayers for a full recovery.
We can all question tactics and team selection but what is very telling is the lack of on field leaders. Yesterday after all 3 goals, all the players heads down, not speaking ,resetting for kick off. No one questioning teammates, looking to raise standards, seeking a reaction.
At least we gave the headline writers the chance to dig out the Hammers House of Horrors line for Halloween.
Impressed by Diakite, Jimmy Jay Morgan and Isaac Price yesterday. @WBA were a solid, well organised, well coached outfit who wanted it far more than our prima Donna’s did. Deserved it. Fans good too.
Lot of work for us to do.
After we’ve passed it around across the back slowly 4 or 5 times in the hope of eventually finding the wingers not been marked by 2 /3 players, anyone genuinely know what our gameplan is?
Naive to think that the supposed “best squad in the league” doesn’t make the most successful team without …. a gameplan, clear structure, style, purpose, leadership and individual desire and passion.
At present, play offs no guarantee from what I’m seeing.

Since 2005 Premier League clubs have had a total interest cost on borrowings and financial debt of £3.5bn.
One club and one set of owners is responsible for 35% of the total.

Bordeaux are playing in the 6th tier of French football after years of financial mismanagement, compounded by COVID and the collapse of the TV rights deal.
They had around €90m in debt and couldn’t provide a €10m financial guarantee.
Yet people think the punishment for 115 charges of deliberate cheating over nine years and funnelling £900m into the club against the rules should just be a points deduction and a fine. Lmao.

How long is the stench of the “sham” going to corrode the meaning, worth, and very essence of the Premier League?
Listening to commentary about Manchester City’s players matching the defiance of their ownership and triumphing in adversity.
Listening to fans chorusing the names of the men running the club, wearing masks or displaying banners of their faces and jibing: “We’re Man City, we’ll cheat when we want.”
Victory being framed as “a lovely moment,” a show of togetherness as though some grave injustice has been imposed on City, rather than their hierarchy being found by an independent commission to have orchestrated financial doping on an industrial scale.
Their opponents and the rest of us wondering if any of this actually matters now and how much of it ever did?
There can be no business as usual pretence. We need a full stop to the absurdity.

The Premier League's descent into a farce of a season began in earnest this afternoon. What a mess. City top of a league they may be kicked out of in a few months. It felt like another bad day for English football today.

Manchester City players and supporters celebrating like they are the victims of some great miscarriage of justice instead of the instigators of one of the greatest scandals in world sport is genuinely nuts.

French giants Bordeaux relegated to sixth tier for financial irregularities......and this was for just over €10m.
Take note, FA and the Prem. Do the right thing!

Baffles me how Man City fans are processing this guilty verdict.
An independent commission confirmed a £900 million disguised funding fraud spanning nearly a decade. It's arguably the biggest corporate deception in sports history. Yet you log on here and see them screaming shite about a “Red Cartel conspiracy”, complaining about other clubs, or demanding "concrete proof" as if a multi year independent tribunal just made it all up for a laugh.
The level of cognitive dissonance required to look at a systemic, state sponsored fraud operation and conclude, "everyone else is just jealous," could fund an entire peer reviewed psychology paper on mass delusion.

⚠️ A Sheffield man has praised Andy Burnham's new Google Maps fuel price feature after managing to save a whopping £1.60 on a tank of petrol! 😲
33 year old Phillip Patel spotted a petrol station selling fuel 4p a litre cheaper than his local garage and immediately made the 3 mile journey to fill up his tank!
After completing the 6 mile round trip, the delighted motorist worked out that he'd spent 95p on petrol getting there and back, leaving him with a net saving of 65p! 🥂
To celebrate his newfound wealth, Phil treated himself to a Freddo bar. A luxury purchase he admits he probably wouldn't have made had it not been for the Fuel Map.
So who’s begging for VAR?
Answer…. no one’s begging for VAR.
Sadly I’d rather experience this type of injustice every 10 games or so than see every game turned into the diabolical officials love-in we’ve witnessed in the last few years.
Keep VAR out of the championship!
West Ham suffer 'one of the worst decisions all season' as fans beg for VAR

That was desperately poor last night and the fact we nearly won it too demonstrates clearly we need to take the handbrake off and attack these games.
This slow lethargic start in games simply gives the opposition a foothold in games we shouldn’t be allowing.
Tackling the issues facing us or providing an app to highlight the issues.
Embarrassing.
I know people are worried about fuel prices. And I get it. You get to the pump, watch the numbers climb, and wonder why it's costing so much more than it used to.
The reality is that global events are pushing up costs, and families here at home are feeling the impact.
But I won't accept that there's nothing I can do to help.
That's why from today, you'll be able to see petrol and diesel prices on Google Maps, compare nearby stations and find the cheapest option before you fill up.
It's a small change, but if there's a practical way to help people keep more money in their pocket, I'll do it.
