Firefighters from 14 UK fire & rescue services are on their way to the Republic of Türkiye to carry out search & rescue operations. The 77-strong International Search & Rescue team provides specialist support where it is needed most. Search & rescue dogs have also been deployed.

Today we bid a sad farewell to WM Mandy Gordon as she retires from Staffordshire & West Midlands Fire Control. She joined @WestMidsFire back in 1983 as a YTS apprentice, she then moved to Fire Control in 1988 and has been here ever since. She will be sorely missed by everyone.
