Buzz Williams with an interesting schedule note.
“It could be four games in five days, with the first game in December having a unique contract because there's an out in it.”
If the Terps play four games in Vegas, they could back out of their game against American on Dec. 2

Per assistant coach Aki Collins, 5-star Baba Oladoton almost never came to Maryland
“On Monday before he committed, literally the day before he committed, he was going to Georgetown.”
The Maryland staff would not take no for an answer, and now Oladotun is in College Park.

Terps up nine at the end of the third quarter.
The Terps have eight different scorers. The depth is very notable. Only 13 players on this team, but all have a chance to be impactful.

Nunu Agara is going to be a big piece of this team; she's a presence inside, but also has the ability to be a three-level scorer.
14 points and five rebounds here.

The Hokies rally at the end of the half, making it a four-point game. That's something the Terps will need to be cognizant of. A really good stretch, but couldn't finish as strong.

Oluchi Okananwa has 13 first-half points on 5-of-6 shooting. The Terps lead by nine and she's a big reason why.

Bri McDaniel drives in for a layup with contact and she just forced a turnover. She looks really solid early on.

Lea Bartelme checks in here. She tore her ACL early last season after starting four games last season.

The Terps and Hokies have tipped off and Oluchi Okananwa looks to have picked up where she left off.
An easy signature layup.

Bri McDaniel is back in the starting lineup for the first time since Jan. 14, 2025. 643 days.
Other starters are Nunu Agara, Addi Mack, Oluchi Okananwa and Trinity Jones.
Jones, a freshman, will get her *unofficial* first start in a Maryland uniform.

I’m at Maryland women’s basketball’s exhibition game against Virginia Tech. I’m helping out for @WMUCSports and I’ll give some periodical updates throughout the night!
The first time we’ll see Brenda Frese’s 25th squad in action against an opponent.
