The Veterinary Science class took a field trip to Arkansas State this week. Students were able to tour the new veterinary school and learn about educational opportunities available to them. These students are preparing for their future!

Third Annual Gallery X Competition! ANYONE is invited to enter. ALL are welcome to participate! The boards will be presented and voted on at the December 15 home basketball game. The winner will be announced that night, and will win a variety of donation prizes from local stores!

Last week, a group of 8th graders went on a nature scavenger hunt! They used their creativity to apply real world sights to fictional literary items.

The West Side Book Club took a field trip to the Little Rock Zoo last Friday after reading The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. Students took notes on their favorite animals and will soon convert them to their Narnia counterparts!

Earlier this week, Strategic Reading students engaged in a library scavenger hunt, where they had to decode clues, read directions carefully, and work together to find letters to unscramble and reveal the hidden key.

Today, the strategic reading team put Professor Snape on trial! The activity incorporated social studies and civics lessons by creating a mock courtroom.
Thank you to all staff, included Mr. Carlton, Mr. Smith, and Dr. Watson, who helped in each step to make this lesson happen!
